Job Summary

  • Assist the Production Manager with day-to-day operations, focusing on quality control, cost management, and productivity optimization.
  • Develop and implement effective production schedules to meet deadlines and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and drive process enhancements.

Responsibilities

  1. Report to the Production Manager and assist with administrative tasks, including production schedules and timesheets.
  2. Oversee quality control throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  3. Responsible for the correct operation, upkeep, and maintenance of all factory equipment.
  4. Implement and maintain hygiene standards in the factory, ensuring a safe working environment.
  5. Identify and address improvement gaps, implementing corrective actions to optimize production processes.
  6. Collaborate with the production manager to improve overall productivity by managing costs, inventory, and reducing waste.
  7. Ensure production meets deadlines and procures and monitors the efficiency of production equipment.
  8. Keep the Production Manager informed about project status and coordinate production with other departments.
  9. Adhere to Health and Safety, as well as Food and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the FMCG/Cold Chain/Supply Chain industry, preferably in a fast-moving consumable goods (FMCG) manufacturing-related industry.
  • Computer literate and proficient in administration, record-keeping, and procurement systems.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and reside locally.
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Production Management, Operations Management, or a related field.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to confidently supervise production teams and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and organized labor practices within the manufacturing industry.
