Production Team Supervisor

About the Role
The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, management, and leadership of production within designated areas, ensuring compliance with auditing, quality assurance, and the oversight of raw materials and packaging. You will also be tasked with the requisitioning, printing, and management of labels. Additionally, you will be accountable for the quality of produced goods and the performance management of team members.

Key Responsibilities
Material Management:- Oversee the ordering and receipt of materials/components in accordance with the daily/weekly production schedule.
- Monitor material usage variances, comparing input against output.
- Return all unused materials to Raw Material Stores for credit.
- Conduct stock counts at the end of each month.
Plan all end-of-run changeovers to optimize machinery and resource utilization. Execute in-process quality assessments at specified intervals, ensuring that products exceed minimum quality standards. Report any deviations from acceptable criteria immediately and take necessary actions to quarantine suspect stock and resolve issues. Ensure that all personnel under your supervision and other individuals entering the production area adhere to GMP standards. Document and investigate all material and labor variances on a daily basis. Develop strategies to minimize waste within your areas of responsibility. Authorize the release of finished products for distribution, including signing off on shipping documentation. Ensure the Barcode Verifier is calibrated according to relevant work instructions. Maintain the master sample file to reflect updates regarding newly designed labels. Ensure that completed requisitions are promptly submitted to Raw Material Stores for data entry.Who You Are
Must possess a Matric qualification. Must hold a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/relevant Trade Test. A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing/production line roles in a similar capacity. Relevant experience in continuous improvement initiatives such as LEAN, TPM, WCM. Knowledge of HSE and Quality management systems is essential. Proficient in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite. Results-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and proactive approach. Strong leadership and coaching abilities are required. Good numerical skills with analytical and reasoning capabilities. Experience and ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels.What We Offer
