About the Role

We are seeking an Electronics Engineering Lead to join our team at FM Staff. As a seasoned professional with a strong background in electronic hardware design and testing, you will play a crucial role in leading the development of cutting-edge Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) for the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, simulate, and complete PCB design and routing of LRUs according to specifications provided by systems engineers.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure seamless integration of hardware LRUs.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, DSP, RF, and aeronautical teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in electronic hardware design and testing.
  • Engineering degree in electronics or equivalent (minimum NQF L7).
  • Proficiency with Altium and LTspice or other circuit simulation/analysis software.
  • Experience with ECU/LRU/LLRU/LRC/LRI design and testing in the aerospace and defence industry is highly beneficial.
Location and Benefits:

This position is based in Cape Town, South Africa, and we offer a competitive salary range of R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have access to training and development opportunities, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
