Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at O'Brien Recruitment.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and procuring high-quality raw materials, equipment, and services while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. They will also be expected to negotiate favourable terms with suppliers, build strong relationships, and monitor supplier performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing and procurement of raw materials, equipment, and services
  • Negotiation of favourable terms with suppliers
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Preparing and submitting monthly procurement reports
  • Staying informed on market trends, pricing changes, and new technologies in raw materials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in raw materials procurement within the manufacturing industry
  • Familiarity with import/export procedures
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in procurement software and systems
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and quality standards is advantageous

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum
