Job Description

A dynamic and reputable retail organization is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join their team.

About the Role:

  • This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong background in risk management to take on a challenging role that requires expertise in compliance, regulations, and project management.
  • The successful candidate will provide critical support in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across various aspects of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Conduct thorough research on regulatory requirements and best practices, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance projects and initiatives, focusing on risk management and compliance.
  • Provide expert-level project management support, overseeing the delivery of initiatives and ensuring timely completion.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data processing, verification of designs, reports, and other deliverables.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Prepare and document project proposals, standards, and operating procedures, maintaining high-quality documentation.
  • Ensure professional handling of coordination, correspondence, queries, and feedback to internal stakeholders and external service providers.
  • Support stakeholder management and communications, including status reporting, meeting minutes, and project documentation.

Requirements:

  • Possess technical and/or project management-based education, preferably with a focus on risk management.
  • Hold experience in a similar role or within a regulatory, building control, health and safety, or risk management environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reviewing technical documents, such as standards, proposals, designs, budgets, etc.
  • Exhibit strong project management and administration skills, along with data processing and analysis abilities in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Showcase good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate diligence in following instructions and procedures, while utilizing initiative to address challenges as they arise.
  • Display a high level of self-motivation, with the ability to set and meet goals.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location. This figure may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, and performance.
