Technology Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Strategist to join our team at Standard Bank Group. As a key member of our architecture team, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining domain architectures and designs for specific business functional/technical areas.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and experience in designing innovative solutions within technology businesses. You will also have a good understanding of LEAN and SCRUM principles and have worked collaboratively across teams.

  • You will ensure that domain architecture conforms to approved reference architectures and aligns to strategic and target roadmaps.
  • Develop and contribute to architecture principles for downstream consumption.
  • Align the team in a common technical direction toward accomplishment of solution architecture roadmaps.
  • Analyze complex business problems and needs involving multiple applications, platforms, and database interactions and recommend technology solutions.

A Post Graduate Degree (Information Technology/Similar) is required for this position.

The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in Enterprise Technology & Solutions Architecture with a good understanding of Agile working practices and LEAN and SCRUM proficiency.
