The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction professional to take their career to the next level. As a Senior Construction Project Lead, you will be responsible for:
  • Team Leadership: Supervising and motivating a diverse team of construction workers to ensure a productive and safe work environment.
  • Project Management: Overseeing daily operations to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Staff Development: Mentoring team members to enhance their skills and promote growth.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all safety regulations are enforced to maintain a safe work site.
  • Quality Control: Monitoring work to ensure compliance with construction standards.
  • Problem-Solving: Addressing on-site challenges effectively to maintain project momentum.
  • Collaboration: Communicating with project managers and subcontractors for seamless execution.

What We Offer
In return for your expertise and passion, we offer a competitive salary of R35,000 per month based on your skills and experience. You will also have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to help you grow in your role.

Ideal Candidate Profile
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
  • Experience: 10 years in construction with proven staff management skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • People Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactive critical thinking abilities.
  • Safety Focus: Commitment to promoting a safe work culture.

Technical Skills Required
You will need to have knowledge of:
  • Structural Expertise: Understanding of setting out and constructing concrete structures.
  • Key Competencies:
    • Surveying and Setting Out: Experience with surveying and setting out techniques.
    • Managing Foundations, Columns, and Slabs: Knowledge of managing foundations, columns, and slabs.
    • Understanding of Underground Services: Familiarity with underground services.
    • Experience with Formwork, Rebar, and Concrete Placement: Experience with formwork, rebar, and concrete placement.
    • Familiarity with Superstructure Processes and Subcontractor Management: Familiarity with superstructure processes and subcontractor management.
