This role is based in Cape Town (hybrid), offering a salary of R1M–R1.1M per annum. As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will guide DevOps teams in taking their existing applications to the cloud and architecting new cloud-native solutions using AWS and Azure.

You'll design and manage cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub, and ensure systems are scalable, secure, and reliable. Leveraging modern software architecture patterns such as Microservices and Event-Driven Design, you'll enable cloud adoption and optimization, collaborating closely with teams to deliver technical solutions and continuously improve the company's innovative cloud strategy.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A degree in Computer Science/IT or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience as a Cloud Engineer with a background in software engineering and expertise in Java, Python, and JavaScript
  • Expert-level proficiency in AWS and Azure, with Cloud Certification
  • Strong knowledge of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, ECS)
  • Experience with networking, security fundamentals, Microservices, Event-Driven Design, and hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
