Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team at The Talent Room in Ottery, Cape Town.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial statements. They will oversee day-to-day finance operations, ensuring timely completion of monthly management accounts and providing insightful financial analysis for decision-making.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and financial statements.
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly management accounts and provide insightful financial analysis for decision-making.
  • Manage the year-end audit process, reviews salaries and wages, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • CA(SA) with 1-year post-article experience or AGA (SA) with 2-3 years of working experience in a similar role.
  • Technical knowledge of SAICA or AGA, including financial reporting, tax, and legislative requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A willingness to think creatively and adapt to change, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
