Job Title: Rehabilitation Admissions Consultant

Immploy is seeking a highly skilled Rehabilitation Admissions Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for coordinating the admission process for patients referred to our rehabilitation unit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel and Conduct Patient Assessments: Conduct thorough assessments of patients at acute hospitals or in their homes to determine their suitability for rehabilitation admission.
  • Liaise with Funders: Communicate with funders to obtain authorization for admissions and provide ongoing case management during the patient's stay.
  • Coordinate Rehabilitation Admissions: Coordinate the admission process for patients, ensuring a smooth transition from acute care to rehabilitation.
  • Manage Rehabilitation Accounts: Manage accounts and credit risk associated with rehabilitation admissions.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with referring doctors, nursing staff, and funders.
  • Promote New Business: Identify opportunities to promote new business and participate in the implementation of new products.
  • Develop Marketing Strategy: Develop a marketing strategy to promote rehabilitation services and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Events: Coordinate CPD events, special events, and celebratory days, as well as internal and external communication.
  • Maintain Data Base: Maintain a referral and stakeholder database.
  • Promote Rehabilitation Services: Promote and maintain sound and productive relationships with referral sources and stakeholders in the field of rehabilitation.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse or Therapist with current registration with HPCSA or SANC.
  • Computer Literacy: Essential.
  • Accounts Management: Knowledge of accounts management is essential.
  • Experience: Experience in hospital case management would be an advantage.
  • ICD10 Coding/CPT: ICD10 coding/CPT training would be an advantage.
  • Clinical Experience: Clinical experience in neurology, neurosurgery, or rehabilitation would be an advantage.
  • Hospital Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the hospital industry and experience with Managed Care Organization, Medical Aids, and Impilo would be an advantage.
  • Transport and License: Own transport and valid driver's license.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Results orientation, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for this position.
