  • Conduct structural analysis of reinforced concrete, steel, and aluminium structures
  • Design and develop structural systems for various projects
  • Prepare detailed engineering reports, including drawings and calculations
  • Compile engineering packs for clients, including design reports, loading analysis, and construction drawings
  • Meet with clients and suppliers to discuss project requirements and solutions
  • Assist in the development of new products and existing product refinement
  • Collaborate with the team to improve design and engineering control processes
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Interact with new and existing customers to understand their needs and preferences
  • Aid in the development of new and improved processes to ensure efficient project delivery
Requirements:
  • Licensed to work in South Africa
  • Driver's license essential
  • BEng/BSc in Civil/Structural Engineering
  • Ability to manage diverse, simultaneous projects of varying complexities
  • Strong understanding of the Solar PV market
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Software Requirements:
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Sketchup
  • Knowledge of structural analysis software (Prokon, etc)
Soft Skills:
  • Willingness to take on additional responsibility
  • Enthusiasm and energy
  • Self-motivation and excellent communication skills
  • Approachability and intercultural sensitivity
Travel:
  • 20-30% of the candidate's time will be spent away from the office on the road
