About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Mining Consultant to join our Advisory team in the Business Transformation / Operational Excellence group based in our offices in Cape Town or Centurion, South Africa.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the entire mine value chain and support functions, with a strong analytical and communication skillset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of mining operations to identify opportunities for transformation
  • Develop and implement business improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six-Sigma, and Theory of Constraints
  • Manage client accounts and key relationships, with strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Provide exceptional executive presence and communication skills, complemented by good interpersonal abilities
Requirements
  • At least 15+ years of experience in the mining industry, ideally combined with 5+ years working with a leading management consulting firm
  • Proven track record of generating and maintaining a consistent client base
  • Affiliation with a professionally recognized industry organization
