About this Role:

NRF/SARAO - South African Radio Astronomy Observatory is recruiting a highly skilled Production Technician to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing electronic modules and systems designed and produced by SARAO.

Key Activities:

  1. Module Production: Produce Receiver Systems, modules and components according to manufacturing data packs.
  2. Field Support: Provide logistics engineering support to Receiver systems deployed to the field.
  3. System Testing: Integrate, test and troubleshoot modules and systems.
  4. Documentation: Compile test procedures and reports.
  5. Inventory Management: Procure components and equipment required for Receiver production or laboratory needs.

Essential Requirements:

  • National Diploma: Electronics / Electrical.
  • 5 years of electronic testing experience.
  • A valid driver's license.
