Job Title: HR Officer – Retail

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join our Retail team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing HR support to our retail operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and training and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR support to retail operations, including recruitment, employee relations, and training and development.
  • Work closely with department heads and line management to identify and prioritize development interventions and initiatives.
  • Design and deliver training programs to meet the needs of the business, including induction and onboarding programs.
  • Maintain accurate records and update profiles of new joiners on internal management tools.
  • Support the HR Director in the maintenance of the L&D budget and provide L&D advice to colleagues.
  • Champion and provide L&D advice, career and development to colleagues.
  • Manage effective working relationships with 3rd party providers.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary Education degree or currently studying towards (in pursuit of a Human Resources, Training and Development designation is preferred).
  • A minimum of two years working experience, preferably in a multinational FMCG or Retail environment.

Personal Characteristics:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and communicate clearly at all levels, and across all departments.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to identify project opportunities, propose them and complete them.
  • Methodical and structured approach to tasks.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and content creation tools.
  • Understanding of relevant HR legislation and best practices.
  • High calibre of professional interpersonal skills, with excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Performance driven, tenacious and goal orientated.
  • Strong communication internal influencing skills.
  • Able to set priorities and clear targets.
  • Well-organized and ideally with project management experience.
  • Capable of managing numerous projects at once in a high-paced environment.
  • High degree of flexibility.
  • Able to grow with the level of responsibilities and with the size and structure of the business.
