About the Role:
We're seeking a talented Senior Buyer to join our team at Superbalist. As a key member of our purchasing and supply chain team, you'll play a critical role in driving growth across various portfolios within a category.
Purpose of the role:
- Develop and implement strategies to drive growth across the department in sales, brands, suppliers, and new product listings.
- Source and prioritize new brands and suppliers according to market trends and consumer demand.
- Deliver against key financial and service level performance indicators within the department.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop supplier relationships, negotiating good prices and improving trading terms.
- Develop a promotional program, sourcing great deals and managing site merchandising.
- Support the operations team in delivering a world-class customer experience.
- Manage stock and availability, including replenishment orders and stock cover.
Requirements:
- Min of a Bachelor's degree in Business Science or related field.
- Commercial postgraduate qualification advantageous.
- 8 years experience in retail, 5+ years experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer.
- Experience in buying 3rd party brands is preferable.
