About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Machining Systems Specialist to join our team at Trading Places Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced CNC Programmer to take on new challenges and responsibilities.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing programs for new parts, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, and selecting the correct cutting tools for the job. Additionally, they will write and load machining programs, measure and verify first articles, supervise machine operators, and train and re-train them in their daily tasks. The ideal candidate will also operate and maintain Fanuc Controlled Victor CNC machines, troubleshoot machine breakdowns, and develop and manage a preventative maintenance program.

Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have a strong background in CNC programming, preferably with experience in machining of cast / casting parts. You should also possess excellent CAD/CAM skills, including knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, and be proficient in manual programming. Afrikaans fluency is required, and you should be able to read and understand engineering drawings, including all machining symbols and tolerancing. A 2.5-hour drive from Cape Town, Montagu offers a unique work-life balance, and you must be willing to live and work there.

Benefits: As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of R300,000 - R400,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a 13th cheque in December and 20 working days annual leave. You will also receive a compulsory company pension, life, disability, and funeral benefit, with an 8% salary deduction matched by an equivalent company contribution to the pension fund, and life cover fully paid by the company for 2 years' annual salary.
