Profile Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Pilot Hall Engineer to join our team in Kariega. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Pilot Hall department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and comment on the impact of Engineering Changes in AVON/Keymono.
  • Represent Production in FFK, FMC, variant reduction, and Group Buildability Forums.
  • Evaluate PDM changes from WOB and engage with Production Process and Industrial Engineering departments.
  • Support Planning department in facility design and FMEA's.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in series and pre-series product designs.
  • Provide future product and process information to Production stakeholders.
  • Represent Production at TPB readings of new models or derivatives.
  • Design and 3D print prototype gauges/jigs for Analysis and production.
  • Manage 3D printing materials and budget.
  • Upload weekly Model mix planning for Polo Vivo and manage required stipulations.

As a Pilot Hall Engineer, you will be working closely with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and ensure the successful launch of new products.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, B-Tech, or National Diploma in Engineering Discipline or Operations/Production Management.
  • Minimum 3 years' relevant engineering experience in the automotive industry.
  • Excellent overall knowledge of Vehicle build and assembly processes.
  • Good knowledge of Systems such as Connect, CATIA, and other vehicle build-related systems.
  • Must be computer literate (MS Office).
  • Be a self-starter with continuous drive to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Be a strong team player.

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Industrial Engineering tools, process audit experience, proficiency in the German language, and good knowledge of 3D printing.
