About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about water conservation, possess excellent communication skills, and have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation
  • Identify and target potential clients in industries such as municipal water management, utilities, agriculture, and commercial real estate.
  • Research and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers to understand their water metering needs and provide customized solutions.
Sales Process Management
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in a timely manner.
Sales Performance and Reporting
  • Track and analyze sales metrics, including pipeline activity, win/loss ratios, and revenue forecasts.
  • Provide regular updates to management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities.
Customer Support
  • Provide ongoing support to clients post-sale, including troubleshooting technical issues, addressing inquiries, and facilitating product training as needed.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention through proactive communication and responsiveness.
Candidate Requirements
  • Matric
  • Bachelor level: Commercial education combined with strong technical interest or Technical education combined with strong commercial mindset or +5 years' experience in technical solution BtoB sales
  • +5 years' experience in technical solution BtoB sales
  • Computer literate
  • Technical knowledge about solutions & preferably electricity and water meters
Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Experience working with customers in large global companies as well as small and medium sizes companies
  • Technical knowledge about solutions & preferably electricity and water meters
  • Contract Management capabilities
  • Solution Selling or corresponding sales approach
  • Fluent in one South African language in addition to English – oral & written
  • It would be advantageous to possess knowledge and experience of smart metering
  • Knowledge of prepaid metering technologies
