Responsibilities:

  • Assist learners in unlocking problems through clear and insightful explanations and guidance.
  • Support the leadership team to implement the online schools development plan.
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, caregivers, support workers, and other professionals to safeguard and ensure learners' educational and holistic welfare needs.
  • Research, suggest, apply, and advise on new trends, products, and technologies relevant to education.
  • Ensure the highest standards of quality and apply innovative teaching methods.
  • Provide feedback to the management team on teaching and learning sessions and the learners' progress.
  • Manage parent interactions and general communications.
  • Manage daily tasks such as email communication with all relevant stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • BEd Degree or PGCE in a relevant subject field.
  • SACE registered.
  • 5 years of teaching experience in the Senior/FET phase.
  • Extensive subject knowledge and good teaching and assessment skills.
  • Experience with online teaching (advantageous).
  • Computer literacy (essential): MS suite, Google Chrome.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
