World Wide Drill Training & Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Senior Renewable Energy Technical Lead to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, technical advisory services, and delivery of technical workstreams within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical aspects of projects in solar PV, battery energy storage, and wind technologies.
  • Manage high-quality technical advisory works, including planning and management with a focus on photovoltaic, wind, battery storage, and grid systems.
  • Project management and interfacing between engineering disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, and control & instrumentation).
  • Negotiate key construction contracts for clients and assess technical risks to reduce risk exposure.
  • Review overall project design and propose technical and design improvements.
  • Prescribe, procure, and manage technical services and products.

Requirements:

  • BSc, BEng, or BTech degree
  • Extensive project management experience in the power generation sector
  • Professional registration advantageous
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading technical workstreams and managing internal/external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated experience in solar PV, BESS, wind, and CSP technologies

This is a site-based position in Matjiesfontein, Western Cape, with accommodation and meals provided.

The estimated salary for this position is R1,200,000 - R1,500,000 per annum, depending on experience.
