Job Title: Theatre Unit Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Theatre Unit Operations Manager to join our team at Jordan HR.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of our theatre units, ensuring that all nursing standards and in-service training are managed effectively. They will also build sound working relationships with multidisciplinary teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and maintain accurate records and stock management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and quality of care.
  • Manage and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage stock effectively.
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement and implement changes to improve patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A post-basic diploma in operating theatre technique.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a theatre unit setting, including scrub experience in cardiothoracic neurosurgery and ophthalmology.
  • Previous experience in a management position is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership qualities, mentoring skills, communication, interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel.
  • After-hours availability, own transport, and work flexibility.
