Key Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
  1. Maintenance and repair of high-speed packaging machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal production levels
  2. Performance of electrical and mechanical planned maintenance on machinery and equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components
  3. Installation and repair of all machinery, setting timing, cams, and limits as per manufacturers' specifications
  4. Investigation of root causes of plant failures and implementation of corrective actions
  5. Communication of downtime data to the Engineering Foreman and achievement of downtime targets

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Millwright in high-speed packaging machines and plant equipment maintenance and repairs within a FMCG environment
  • Trade test certification as a Millwright from an accredited training facility
  • Completed Mechanical / Electrical Engineering qualification or minimum N4 qualification
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, Pneumatic and Electro-Pneumatic systems, PLC programming, and VSD set-up
  • Familiarity with QMS, HACCP, and GMPs is advantageous
