We are seeking an experienced Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Profile Personnel in East London, Eastern Cape.

Salary: R1,200,000 - R1,800,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Safety and Compliance Specialist to lead our SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining ISO 45001, 9001, and 14001 management systems across all projects within the Grid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective hazard identification and risk management processes to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular SHEQ audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to promote a culture of safety and compliance, and provide coaching and mentoring as needed.
  • Review and analyze SHEQ performance reports to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders to ensure timely reporting and resolution of SHEQ-related issues.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of SHEQ management experience within the construction industry.
  • Safety qualifications and certificates essential.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, including ISO 45001, 9001, and 14001 management systems.
  • Ability to facilitate SHEQ internal and external audits and ensure these are scheduled and conducted at each project site.
  • Risk management experience.
