Job Description

Astral Operations Ltd, a leading integrated poultry producer, is seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join its team in Camperdown, KZN.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts.
  2. Administer bonus and leave provisions.
  3. Review and reconcile payrolls for accuracy.
  4. Ensure timely and accurate payment of staff wages/salaries, including statutory deductions.
  5. Maintain and update payroll records, including Provident Fund, UIF, and Workmen's Compensation.
  6. Liaise with service providers to ensure proper administration of related claims.
  7. Manage month-end procedures, ensuring all filing is up-to-date and HR reports are submitted timely.
  8. Provide guidance and support on benefits-related matters to HR/Payroll and members.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years payroll experience.
  • Bookkeeping experience preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required.
  • Strong administration and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
