**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Manager to join our team at Capital Recruit. As an IT Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability and efficiency of our in-house information systems.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth operation of software and systems that support business objectives.
  • System Management: Work with executive team members to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues.
  • Application Deployment: Design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.

**Operational Management:**

  • System Audits: Conduct server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
  • Server Integration: Integrate servers, including database, e-mail, print, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
  • System Connectivity: Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, groupware, and other applications.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
  • Interoperability: Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  • System Performance: Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.

**Competencies:**

  • General IT Troubleshooting: Understanding of general IT-related troubleshooting principles.
  • Windows Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of Windows-based systems and Point of Sale platforms.
  • End-User Support: Experience in providing end-user support functions.
  • SLA Management: Knowledge of Service Level Agreement (SLA) management principles.
  • IT Security: Understanding of IT security concepts and best practices.
  • Mathematical Abilities: Ability to accurately perform basic to intermediate mathematical functions.

**Requirements:**

  • Experience/Knowledge: Minimum 4 years of general IT experience.
  • Certifications: MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) and A+ Certification highly preferred.
  • Technology Certifications: Certification in technologies such as A+, N+, MCSE, CompTIA N+, or IT Diploma.
  • Networking Knowledge: Basic knowledge of IP networking and protocols, e.g., HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, WINS, DHCP.
  • Network Services: Basic understanding of network services, e.g., email, internet, firewall, proxy, VPN.
  • Application Knowledge: Above-average knowledge of commonly used applications, e.g., MS Office suite of products, Internet Browsers.
  • Computer Hardware: Detailed knowledge of computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, components, and peripherals.
  • Firewall Knowledge: Basic knowledge of Fortinet Firewalls.
  • Virtualization Knowledge: Basic knowledge of VMWare and Veeam.

**Salary Offering:** R35,000 - R40,000 per annum.
