IT Ridge Technologies seeks a Chief Architect for Enterprise Infrastructure to provide leadership in the development and operational implementation of infrastructure strategies and plans.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and implementing short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure that the enterprise infrastructure architecture meets existing and future requirements.

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document best practices, infrastructure standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the infrastructure architecture.
  • Create as-is and to-be architectures with associated roadmaps to create an infrastructure architecture.
  • Champion, drive, and implement architecture agendas, priorities, and initiatives to support the Group's IT strategy.
  • Manage the provision of specialized infrastructure services in support of projects and programs within the Group.
  • Research and recommend architectural solutions and support procurement thereof.
  • Be responsible for talent and succession management, development, and performance management of the team.
  • Build and manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure delivery of quality service and participate in other departmental/divisional projects to contribute towards business objectives.
  • Identify, mitigate, and manage risks related to the infrastructure environment.
  • Collaborate and align with third-party infrastructure service providers in support of the Group's IT strategy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (NQF 7), or equivalent qualification.
  • Certification in TOGAF, ITIL, and COBIT.
  • 8-10 years' experience in an IT environment.
Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Engineering, managerial, technical, and project management skills with experience in leading complex infrastructure programs.
  • Financial analysis, including data-driven conclusive recommendations and decisions.
  • Experience and skills in modern infrastructure architectures and engineering functions, with a strong fundamental understanding of infrastructure as a service, network as a service, disaster recovery as a service, and desktop as a service.
  • Hands-on practical experience in infrastructure engineering and architecture.
  • Knowledge and experience in documenting infrastructure architectures.
  • Strong bias for action, with proven ability to handle stress and time-sensitive infrastructure tasks.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
