About the Role

The Department of the Premier, Western Cape Government, is seeking a competent and suitably qualified individual to implement operational procedures and ensure operational productivity. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering appointments and payroll matters, as well as verifying qualifications and handling related enquiries.

This role requires a strong background in appointments and compensation, with experience in PERSAL certification and complex calculations. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities
  1. Implement and maintain people management administration practices.
  2. Provide administrative services related to appointments and payroll matters.
  3. Verify qualifications and handle related enquiries.
  4. Perform supervisory tasks, motivating and guiding staff.

Requirements
Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification); A minimum of 3 years relevant experience; Working knowledge of Appointments and Compensation; PERSAL certification; Experience in acting allowances and complex calculations including OSD.

What We Offer
R 308,154 per annum (Salary Level 7); Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
