Job Overview: The Western Cape Government is seeking a qualified accounting clerk to join our team at the Western Cape Mobility Department. As a financial accounting specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our department's financial operations.

Job Summary: This position involves performing various financial tasks, including cashier duties, banking services, and bookkeeping responsibilities. You will also provide personnel administration clerical support services within our department.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification) with Accounting or Mathematics as passed subjects
  • Experience in a financial accounting and/or management accounting working environment

Remuneration: The successful candidate will receive a salary of R 216 417 - R 254 928 per annum (Salary Level 5). Additional benefits may apply in accordance with the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
