Key Responsibilities:- Manage tax administration and dispute resolution, including timely submission of tax returns, provisional tax returns, lodging of disputes, requests for reasons, penalty waivers, dividends taxes, etc.
- Perform tax calculations and reconciliations.
- Manage client budgets and prepare proposal documents/letters of engagement.
- Assist with department budgets and review of work.
- Recommend billings amount and timings.
- Role model the organizational culture and instill culture in others.
- Assist with performance management and on-the-job training, coaching, and guiding.
- Build and maintain client relationships and grow client portfolio.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and provide technical assistance to staff members (where required).
- Registered Tax Practitioner.
- Degree or diploma in finance.
- Other relevant tax qualifications.
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Computer literate – proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiar with audit software – able to navigate through and use Caseware.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of IFRS.
