Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Team Lead - Environmental Planning and Advisory to join our team at WSP Global Inc. in Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our environmental planning and advisory team, driving business growth, and delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of the annual business strategy for the Africa EPA team.
  • Collaborate with other P&A team leads to drive business growth and improve project delivery.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Africa EPA team, including the South Africa, Mozambique, and Ghana teams.
  • Manage and develop key client relationships, participate in marketing and business development activities, and develop proposals.
  • Responsible for financial performance for the EPA team (RSA, Moz, Ghana) and reaching financial targets for EPA Africa.

Requirements:
  • An Honours or higher degree in a relevant environmental discipline.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience, preferably in an environmental consulting firm.
  • 15 years or more experience as an environmental and/or social specialist leading and delivering local and international (Africa) ESIA and/or ESDD consulting assignments.
  • EAPASA Registration is required or evidence of application in process.
  • Strong technical report writing skills, producing professional reports in fluent English.
  • Significant commercial acumen and ability to engage in client-facing business development.
