Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Gauteng. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to support the achievement of our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy
    • Develop and implement category and sourcing strategies to optimize spend and minimize risk.
    • Analyze supplier key performance indicators and support risk management for the supply base.
  • Supplier Management
    • Manage central supplier relationships, pricing negotiations, and contracts.
    • Determine optimum number of suppliers and contract length for each commodity.
  • Procurement Processes
    • Develop and implement procurement processes in line with good governance.
    • Draft and implement procurement policies and procedures.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Draw up monthly procurement reports to track spend and supplier performance.
    • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to optimize procurement processes.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Collaborate with business units to implement procurement strategies.
    • Manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers.
  • Financial Management
    • Draw up procurement costing budget in line with business requirements.
    • Negotiate deals with vendors to optimize spend.
  • Team Management
    • Mentor and motivate team members to achieve procurement objectives.

Requirements

  • BCom Degree
  • 5 years of experience in Procurement with at least 3 years in supervisory role.
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
