Quality Assurance Manager

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the strategic direction and management framework as dictated by various auditing standards and scheme specifications. This role will execute, manage, and monitor the effective application of pertinent accreditation criteria, both global and local to SGS. Sustain necessary accreditations; coordinate and ensure the execution of external audits. Conduct frequent internal audits to evaluate adherence to management system requirements. Enhance management systems, processes, and best practices to boost efficiency and quality. Supervise and monitor processes to guarantee compliance with management system standards. Oversee and track the organization's resource utilization in alignment with management system requirements. Direct and manage the technical team, including task distribution, deadline setting, and performance monitoring. Manage auditor competency, provide support to Operations Managers, and continually work on qualifying new auditing resources. Ensure proper documentation is uploaded and maintained. Organize and deliver training for auditors, sales personnel, and operational staff as needed, ensuring annual training programs are established for refresher courses and updates on new requirements. Ensure that resources are equipped with the necessary tools to perform tasks in accordance with the company’s Management System requirements and policies. Conduct technical assessments, contract evaluations, proposal approvals, certificate decisions, and technical endorsements in the relevant area of expertise. Develop strategic and technical objectives that align with organizational goals. Analyze technical data to pinpoint opportunities for quality enhancement. Implement quality controls and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent, high-quality, and compliant outputs as per requirements. Coordinate the implementation of corrective actions to improve systems. Prepare monthly business commentary reports and status updates on service delivery and execution. Ensure adherence to the SGS Management System requirements. Collaborate closely with operations and support services (Operations, Sales, KAM, HR, Finance, IT, Procurement). Develop tailored audit protocols based on customer specifications. Participate in management meetings. Stay informed about competitors and market trends. Keep updated on changes to standards, management systems, and procedures, communicating changes effectively. Provide technical assistance in new business development. Identify opportunities that will bolster the business strategy and actively promote SGS services. Achieve established KPIs. Maintain Lead Auditor status and qualifications in one or more certification standards. Travel for business purposes. Liaise with clients. Perform other reasonable miscellaneous duties as assigned by your Manager.Specific Authorities
Halt the use of any equipment or environments that may pose a safety risk or entry to hazardous areas without the necessary knowledge and protection, and take action to mitigate the hazard. Cease work that may compromise the quality (integrity) of services and take action to rectify the issue. Initiate a formal improvement request when deviations in the system occur, potential improvements are identified, or nonconformities are recognized. Notify your manager of any significant risks, process failures, or customer complaints. Ensure that quality requirements are upheld without compromise to any prejudicial interests. Ensure all document approvals comply with Company requirements. Safeguard that relevant management systems remain uncompromised. Identify and report non-conformances regarding the quality system, integrity, and operational integrity. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.Qualifications
