Job Title: Maintenance Lubricator

Job Summary:

Assign Services (Pty) Ltd - JHB is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lubricator to join our team at Jumbo Centre Factory. The successful candidate will be responsible for minimizing plant downtime, improving equipment reliability, and extending the operating life of machinery through effective lubrication activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lubricate all machinery in the plant, including paper machines, gearboxes, motors, compressors, forklifts, generators, and other equipment.
  • Maintain the lubrication program/system to ensure maximum plant and equipment availability.
  • Assist fitters on breakdowns and with planned work, and report any plant risks identified.
  • Monitor the compressed air plants and follow instructions from the mechanical maintenance foreman.
  • Execute any reasonable tasks given from time to time, and complete work according to the weekly maintenance plan.
  • Perform general daily housekeeping tasks and do any task that may be given to him from time to time by the engineering leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 years maintenance experience as a lubricator in a heavy engineering and continuous manufacturing process environment.
  • Be trainable, responsible, and professional.
  • Forklift license is advantageous.

Personal Attributes:

  • Self-starter, energetic, and highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to identify through touch, hearing, etc, when equipment requires lubrication during the run.
  • Prepared to work outside normal working hours during shutdowns.
  • Be neat and well organized.
