Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist Specialist to join our team at FACT. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating high-precision CNC turning and milling machines to produce complex parts with tight tolerances.

Main Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate production machining on high-precision CNC turning and milling machines.
  • Perform basic machine-related CNC programming.
  • Ensure adherence to defined manufacturing guidelines, processes, and procedures.
  • Contribute to production planning processes and determine production priorities based on established production schedules.
  • Interpret specifications and make judgments about the acceptability of production that is in process.
  • Propose procedures improvements and implement technical infrastructure.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and optimization of maintenance and repair methods.

Requirements

  • Valid Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter and Turner or Toolmaker.
  • Grade 12 or relevant equivalent tertiary qualification.
  • At least 5 years of extensive and proven experience on conventional and CNC machines, including high-precision surface grinders, cylindrical grinders, EDM Wire Cutter, turning and milling machines.
  • Must be experienced in operating with Fanuc controls.
  • Experience in various CNC controllers, including Siemens, and HAAS is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

  • Able to machine consistently to tolerances within 0.01mm accuracy.
  • Knowledge and experience of principles, procedures, work routines, and skills in the operation of production machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Computer skills, including MS Office Package and Outlook.
  • Valid Driver's License.
