Job Title: Social Behaviour Research Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Social Behaviour Research Specialist to join our client's Clinical Research team.

About the Role

This role focuses on integrating social behaviour research into clinical studies, evaluating behavioural patterns, societal influences, and community engagement in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement social behaviour research as part of clinical trials, considering societal and individual factors that affect health outcomes.
  • Work with clinical teams to identify key behavioural indicators that may influence study results.
  • Develop protocols to assess social behaviours like patient compliance and community engagement.
  • Incorporate social behaviour research as a revenue-generating element in clinical studies.
  • Collaborate with financial teams to develop budgets reflecting the cost of social behavior research.
  • Contribute to funding proposals and grant applications to secure revenue through social research.
  • Oversee data collection methods such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observational studies.
  • Analyze how social behaviours impact clinical study outcomes and healthcare interventions.
  • Lead community engagement efforts to integrate social behaviour studies within diverse populations.
  • Collaborate with local communities and healthcare providers to understand social factors affecting healthcare access and behaviours.
  • Develop materials to explain the impact of social behaviour research to participants.
  • Prepare reports and presentations that provide insights into social behaviour research.
  • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.
  • Communicate with sponsors, regulatory bodies, and funders on the value of social behaviour research.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field (required).
  • A Master's degree or PhD in Social Behaviour Research, Health Psychology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in social behaviour research, particularly within a healthcare or clinical trial setting.
  • Experience with budgeting and financial modelling for research studies is a plus.
  • Proficiency in social behaviour research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative).
  • Strong data analysis skills with knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both academic and non-academic audiences.
