Medical Director for Renal Services

Mass Staffing Projects seeks to recruit a skilled and experienced individual to fulfill the role of Unit Leader. This position is available in our rapidly growing company.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with professional and ethical practice, monitoring nursing care and service delivery within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team. They will also be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, and training.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintain High-Quality Nursing Care: Ensure that nursing care and service delivery are implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary quality assurance team.
- Clinical Excellence: Monitor and ensure adherence to clinical policies and procedures, as well as the utilization of NRC's quality initiatives for all patients under your management.
- Effective Stakeholder Relationships: Maintain proactive and effective stakeholder and interdepartmental relationships and communication to ensure optimal standards of service delivery.
- Staff Development: Facilitate ongoing education, training, and development of yourself and unit staff to provide the best dialysis service.
- Patient Care: Ensure optimal patient care in line with NRC's policies & procedures, best care practices, and quality initiatives.
About the Role:
We require a highly skilled and experienced leader who can effectively coordinate improved quality nursing care, monitor and ensure adherence to clinical policies and procedures, maintain effective stakeholder relationships, facilitate ongoing education and training, and ensure optimal patient care.
Key Requirements:
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse / Midwife or Registration with HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice).
- Relevant qualification with a minimum of 5 years post-basic and proven leadership and/or people management experience within healthcare (including clinical competence in renal).
- Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial, and change management principles.
- Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation.
- Driver's license and own transport a must.
