Job Description:

This is a senior-level position that oversees financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing strategic financial planning. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager in Dubai and play a key role in maintaining financial integrity across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounting & Financial Management
  • Oversee all financial procedures for the Johannesburg and Maputo branches, as well as subsidiary companies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective financial systems.
  • Prepare financial accounts, budgets, and financial planning strategies.
  • Monitor budget variances and implement cost control measures.

Tax & Compliance:
  • Manage tax computations and address SARS-related queries.
  • Verify VAT returns and tax assessments.
  • Provide tax advisors with transfer pricing information.
  • Prepare annual SARS Country-by-Country reporting for relevant entities.

Finance & Treasury:
  • Manage relationships with banking institutions and oversee annual financial facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with Reserve Bank and Exchange Control regulations.
  • Handle foreign currency transactions and cash flow management for the Maputo branch.

Reporting & Advisory:
  • Prepare financial reports and management accounts as required.
  • Provide financial insights to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Assist with audits and liaise with external audit firms.

Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree: BCom in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Certification: CA(SA), CMA, or equivalent qualification required.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in accounting, with international exposure being advantageous.
