NDC Personnel & Contractors CC is excited to offer a career opportunity for a Senior FMCG Engineer in the Western Cape. This key role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act as the General Machinery Representative (GMR) 2.1 appointee.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the safety and efficiency of the manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing the GMR 2.7a appointees to ensure adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Ensuring machinery compliance with relevant safety standards
  • Maintaining statutory machinery records
Additionally, you will manage site-specific projects, contribute to planned and preventative maintenance systems, and play an active role in machinery procurement, design, and upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.

To be considered for this role, candidates should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with relevant experience in the field. A Certified Engineer (GCC) qualification is necessary. A minimum of 2-4 years' experience in an engineering role, with strong planning and reporting skills, is essential.

Estimated Salary: R800,000 - R1,200,000 per annum, depending on experience.
