Bakery Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, such as cakes, cookies, and bread, following MSC approved recipes.
  • Develop and produce alternative bakery products for guests with specific dietary requirements, in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Ensure high standards of presentation, portion control, and quality of all bread and bread products, including pizzas.
  • Monitor and control temperatures and conditions of all materials in the section.
  • Adhere to all food safety protocols in the bakery department, in compliance with MSC Food Safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and setup of workstations.
  • Prepare daily mise en place and food production.
  • Minimize food spoilage and ensure compliance with international HACCP standards.
Qualifications
  • Proficient English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven experience of at least 2 contracts in a similar position in a major hotel or cruise ship, operating under International Food Safety Standards.
Required Documents
  • Valid South African Passport.
  • Police Clearance.
