About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Recruitment and Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recruitment team, you will be responsible for recruiting and educating blood donors to ensure a sustainable and safe blood supply.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in meeting our collection targets while ensuring that all donors have a positive experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in donor recruitment pilot studies at specific blood drives.
  2. Attend to donor queries and complaints, and report follow-up actions to the Donor Relations Practitioner.
  3. Provide feedback to the Donor Relations Practitioner and Donor Educator on educational needs.
  4. Assist with arranging donor marketing functions such as media launches and donor awards.
  5. Deliver advertising materials prior to the blood drive when required.
  6. Makes contact with the blood drive controller / peer promoters to confirm arrangements.
  7. Arrange a suitable venue if necessary and includes information on the recruiter's report form.
  8. Displays advertising material and directional arrows to enhance visibility of the blood drive.
  9. Recruits and educates blood donors to meet collection targets.
  10. Highlights risk behavior posters to donors to ensure a safe quality blood supply.
  11. Welcomes blood donors on their arrival and ensures they have a good donation experience.
  12. Issues donor information pamphlets and ensures donors understand the content.
  13. Monitors the flow of the blood drive to reduce waiting times.
  14. Offers refreshments to donors as required and deals with customer service questions.
  15. Refers medical questions to the Clinic Supervisor.
  16. Assists with setting up and packing up of the blood drive and ensures the venue is left in good order.
  17. Promotes campaigns to donors and provides feedback to the Donor Relations Practitioner.
  18. Assists in arranging branch promotions, shows, and exhibitions.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12
  • Marketing/Public Relations Certificate (Minimum 6 months)
  • Driving License – Code B Manual

Skills:

  • Computer literacy: MS Office
