Plastic Injection Moulding Operations Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Plastic Injection Moulding Operations Specialist to join our team at The Legends Agency. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the maintenance and engineering of injection moulding equipment, ensuring high-quality standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mould Repair and Maintenance: Perform and supervise mould repairs, utilizing your expertise to ensure seamless operations.
- Mechanical Repairs: Conduct mechanical repairs and fitting of parts, including turning and milling operations, to maintain optimal machinery performance.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of 5 setters and 4 artisans, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with suppliers and technicians internationally to facilitate efficient operations and resolve any issues promptly.
- Mould Design and Quality Assurance: Engage in mould design and collaborate with suppliers and mould makers overseas to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Travel Requirements: Travel to China for mould testing and quality assurance as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Relevant Trade Certification: Hold a trade-tested certification in a relevant field.
- Injection Moulding Experience: Proven hands-on experience in injection moulding, with expertise in working with large moulds.
- Strong Mechanical Skills: Possess strong mechanical skills and experience with turning and milling.
- Effective Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers and international technicians.
- Leadership Experience: Have experience in managing a team and overseeing complex projects.
- International Travel: Be willing to travel internationally as required.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of Latest Technologies: Familiarity with the latest injection moulding technologies and practices is an asset.
- Collaborative Environment: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
Salary Estimate: R45,000 - R55,000 per month
