About the Position

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Utilize various teaching styles and approaches to engage students and promote learning.
  • Encourage student participation and create a positive classroom environment.
  • Teach students about the structure and content of the English language.
  • Help students improve their spelling, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
  • Emphasize the importance of grammar, sentence structure, and composition.
  • Teach students to pronounce words correctly and understand literary and poetic devices.
  • Develop students' critical thinking skills through analysis and discussion of media reports, advertisements, and news articles.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid DBS certificate and right to work in the UK.
  • Have a recognized teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, DTLLS, or Cert Ed.
  • Possess a Bachelor's degree in English teaching or a related field.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methods and English instruction topics.
  • Demonstrate excellent spoken and written English language skills.
  • Have experience teaching the subject.
