**Key Responsibilities:**

We are seeking an experienced Financial Compliance Officer to join our team at Persona Staff. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in finance, HR, payroll, and statutory matters.

**Responsibilities include:*

  • Oversee and manage compliance across various areas, including finance, HR, payroll, and statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate and ensure timely submission of tax filings and audits, guaranteeing accurate and complete reporting.
  • Review, draft, and manage contracts, ensuring they align with legal and regulatory standards, minimizing potential risks.
  • Maintain and update company policies, adapting to changing regulatory landscapes, staying ahead of compliance obligations.
  • Manage company secretarial duties, maintaining records and filings in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams as necessary, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Advise senior management on compliance-related issues, providing guidance on risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats.
  • Ensure all internal and external reporting requirements are met on time, guaranteeing transparency and accuracy.
  • Manage data capturing and invoicing through QuickBooks, including tenant invoicing, streamlining financial processes.
  • Prepare, verify, and reconcile weekly payments; manage online banking efficiently, maintaining accurate records.
  • Oversee debtor collections, ensuring prompt payment and resolving any outstanding issues.
  • Record month-end journals and assist in month-end close processes, supporting the smooth operation of our financial systems.
  • Generate and distribute monthly financial reports, providing valuable insights into our company's financial performance.

**Requirements:**

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with:

  • Proven experience in a compliance or similar managerial role within a small to mid-sized business.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations related to finance, HR, payroll, tax, and audit, ensuring a deep understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, demonstrating exceptional time management and prioritization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, showcasing adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant software (e.g., accounting, HR systems) is a plus, indicating proficiency in industry-standard tools.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management, highlighting a strong background in financial operations.
  • Experience in property finance is advantageous, offering expertise in specialized areas of finance.
  • Relevant finance degree required, emphasizing the importance of formal education in finance.
