**Job Title:** Workshop Stock Controller/Storeman

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Stock Controller/Storeman to join our team at Headhunters. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the inventory management of our workshop, ensuring accurate records and efficient stock control.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels to ensure the workshop is adequately supplied.
  2. Receiving Goods: Check and receive incoming deliveries, ensuring that the goods match the purchase orders and are in good condition.
  3. Stock Issuance: Issue materials and tools to workshop staff as required, ensuring accurate records are kept.
  4. Stock Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues, and returns.
  5. Stock Audits: Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  6. Storage Management: Organize and maintain the stock storage areas to ensure efficient and safe storage of materials and tools.
  7. Order Processing: Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders for replenishment of stock, as well as following up on long outstanding orders.
  8. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the storage and handling of materials.
  9. Reporting: Generate regular reports on stock levels, usage, and discrepancies for management review.

Requirements:

  1. Matric: A matric certificate is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  2. Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is essential for this role.
  3. Physical Fitness: The successful candidate must be physically fit and healthy, as the job requires the ability to lift and move items.
  4. Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Afrikaans is a requirement for this position.
  5. Computer Literacy: Intermediate-level computer literacy, with proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, is essential.
  6. Workshop Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a workshop stores environment is required.
  7. Mechanical Knowledge: A strong understanding of mechanical parts and identification skills is necessary.
  8. Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills are required.
  9. Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping are essential.
  10. Reliability: The successful candidate must be reliable and punctual.
  11. Team Player: The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary.
