Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
1. **Health, Safety, and Environment**
- Adhere to maximum safe pallet stacking heights.
- Uphold site safety protocols as a key member of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Committee.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations to foster a safe workplace for all personnel.

2. **Stock Quality Management**
- Maintain warehouse stock age standards by implementing effective stock rotation practices.
- Conduct quality checks on packaging both on the warehouse floor and prior to dispatch.

3. **Inventory Management**
- Engage in the handover process at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Perform accurate stock counts as required.
- Communicate effectively with the Stock Clerk, Warehouse Controller, and Warehouse Supervisor.

Routine Duties
- Ensure the timely and accurate loading and unloading of trucks.
- Interpret documentation correctly for order picking and loading.
- Maintain basic upkeep of forklifts, ensuring safe operation in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant safety legislation.
- Organize, stack, and pack stock in designated areas while adhering to the 5S philosophy for site cleanliness.
- Assist in order picking as necessary.
- Conduct physical stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Collaborate with controllers and supervisors to align loading operations with planned schedules.
- Complete all documentation thoroughly and accurately.

4. **Business Knowledge**
- Stay informed about relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures.
