We are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team at First Technology Group. As a key member of our IT department, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage server, network, and application infrastructure to ensure seamless operations and high availability.
  2. Provide expert-level support to our Tier II team to resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  3. Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide customized solutions through phone consultations, remote diagnostics, or onsite visits.
  4. Implement and manage Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) solutions, as well as assist clients with cloud migrations to AWS and Azure.
  5. Install, configure, and manage server infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, domain hosting, and virtualization using Hyper-V and VMware.
  6. Manage Microsoft server licensing and Office 365 migrations to ensure seamless transitions.
  7. Configure and maintain wireless access points, firewalls, switches, and other network components to ensure optimal performance.
  8. Enhance our knowledge base with troubleshooting tips and support documentation to benefit the entire team.
  9. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, products, and hardware systems, and pursue relevant certifications to maintain our high standards.
  10. Foster positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and vendors to ensure seamless collaboration.
  11. Participate in the on-call rotation for priority escalations and align client environments with our best practices and technical standards.
  12. Perform additional duties as needed to support the team and achieve our objectives.

Requirements:

  1. Extensive knowledge of hardware, software, cloud technology, server infrastructure, and network systems.
  2. Diploma, degree, or relevant qualification in IT/Computing (or equivalent work experience).
  3. At least 7 years of experience in Tier II or Tier III IT support, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.
  4. Strong customer service skills and experience working in a physical office environment.
  5. Willingness to travel to client sites as needed to provide on-site support.
  6. Expertise in backup technology, cloud technology, server infrastructure, and network systems.
  7. Advanced knowledge of Hyper-V, VMware, and Microsoft licensing.
  8. Experience with Cisco, Ishield, Mikrotik, and Sophos networks.
  9. Familiarity with deployment software (Microsoft WDS, MDT) and network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI model).
  10. Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  11. Proficiency in Linux and other operating systems.
