Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee the timely and accurate delivery of aluminum products to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on aluminum products.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the aluminum despatching department, ensuring seamless coordination with production and sales teams.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels to maintain adequate stock levels, developing and implementing efficient despatching processes and procedures as needed.
  • Ensure all shipments are properly packaged and labeled for safe transport, working closely with transportation providers to negotiate rates and ensure timely delivery.
  • Resolve any issues or delays in the delivery process, maintaining accurate records of all despatching activities.
  • Train and supervise despatching staff, providing guidance and support as needed, and conduct regular performance evaluations to provide feedback for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and developments to continuously improve despatching processes, adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a despatching or logistics role, preferably in the aluminum industry.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and inventory management software.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
