About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA Team Lead to join our team at Dimension Data. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and availability of our systems, as well as implementing best practices and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of database administrators to ensure effective and efficient service delivery
  • Implement and maintain database servers, including Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Real Application Cluster
  • Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery solutions
  • Mentor less experienced team members in technology and processes
  • Collaborate with system and application administrators to ensure end-to-end delivery of services

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a senior database administrator on Oracle
  • Strong technical background and business competence
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
