Job Overview

This role is for a Cash Counter Specialist who will be responsible for counting and verifying client money, ensuring adherence to cash processing procedures, and operating money counting machines.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience as a cashier or in a similar role, with excellent numeric skills and attention to detail. They must also be able to work under pressure and be willing to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

  • Cash Processing
    • Count and verify client money
    • Ensure adherence to cash processing procedures
    • Operate money counting machines
  • Balancing and Reconciling
    • Balance and reconcile cash transactions
    • Maintain accurate records
  • Customer Service
    • Provide excellent customer service
    • Respond to customer inquiries

Requirements

  • Qualifications
    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Computer literate
  • Experience
    • At least 2 years of experience as a cashier or in a similar role
  • Personality Attributes and Core Competencies
    • Honest and reliable
    • Good verbal and language abilities
    • Able to follow instructions accurately
    • Possess numeric skills
