Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Engineering Superintendent specializing in Instrumentation to join our team in Mpumalanga. As Chief Instrumentation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the instrumentation department, developing maintenance strategies, and collaborating with suppliers to source necessary parts and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the instrumentation department, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies for all instrumentation equipment within the mining operation
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards, conducting regular audits and inspections
  • Coordinate with other departments to optimize production efficiency and minimize downtime
  • Train and mentor instrumentation staff, ensuring they are up-to-date on all equipment and procedures
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess a Grade 12 certificate with engineering subjects (Instrumentation) and a valid trade test in Instrumentation Mechanician. Additionally, 3 years of coal processing plant experience and knowledge of Siemens PLCs, SCADA, and programming are required.
